Michael Irelan

Owner, Encore RRC INC

After leaving the military in 1992, I began my career in the restoration and reconstruction industry. For over three decades, I’ve been dedicated to helping people recover from disasters and rebuild their homes, their properties, and their lives. It’s more than just work to me—it’s a purpose rooted in compassion and professionalism.

I’m the proud owner of Encore RRC Inc., a certified firm with the IICRC and a trusted name in the restoration industry. I hold a Triple Master Certification with the IICRC in Water, Fire, and Textile restoration, along with advanced certifications in commercial drying, microbial remediation, odor control, structural drying, carpet and upholstery care, and health and safety. My team and I are trained, certified, and committed to doing things the right way, every time.

Encore also holds a North Carolina General Contractor license and is licensed for plumbing. Our approach combines high standards, clear communication, and genuine care for our customers. We understand the stress and uncertainty that come with property damage, and we’re here to guide people through it—with confidence, skill, and heart.

Russell Sterry

Reconstruction Project Manager

Russell Sterry brings over 22 years of experience and a diverse background in management to his role as Reconstruction Project Manager at Encore Restoration and Reconstruction. With certifications in fire, odor, and water restoration, Russell has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality results and guiding projects from start to finish with precision and care.


Known for his calm, people-focused approach, Russell believes that every role on a job—from the first person on-site to the last—is equally important. His extensive experience in the field means that very little surprises him anymore—he’s seen it all and knows how to handle it. Clients and colleagues alike appreciate his ability to navigate even the most complex reconstruction challenges with confidence and professionalism.


Russell’s true passion comes from the joy of restoring not just homes, but lives. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is seeing a homeowner’s relief and happiness when their space—and sense of normalcy—is returned.

Marketing Manager

With over 30 years of sales experience, Woody mace brings a wealth of insight, strategic thinking and results-driven focus to his role as a marketing manager. Renowned it for his sharp communication skills and ability to connect meaningfully with clients, Woody excels at building trust and cultivating long-listing customer relationships.

His knock for problem-solving paired with his deep understanding of customers needs, consistently positions himself as a go to resource for navigating challenges and delivering value. Outside of work, Woody takes pride in his most important role being a dedicated father to his 16 years old son, whose curiously and energy inspire him daily.

Woody’s the commitment to excellent and personable leadership style make him a key player in driving growth and elevating brand presence.

Mitigation & Restoration Specialist

Michael Brewington brings over a decade of experience in mitigation and restoration, earning a reputation for technical expertise, reliability, and customer-focused service.

As a certified Master Water Restorer through the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC), he has completed extensive training to stay at the forefront of industry standards and best practices.

Known for his calm, compassionate approach during high-stress situations, Michael is dedicated to providing fast, professional support when clients need it most. His hands-on leadership and commitment to excellence make him a trusted expert in the restoration field.

Curnie Sanders

Commercial Construction Division

With nearly 20 years of experience in commercial construction and remodeling, Curnie is a cornerstone of our Commercial Construction Division. Known for his warm demeanor and genuine enthusiasm, he brings both technical expertise and personal charm to every
project he touches.

Curnie’s career spans a wide range of commercial builds—from state-of-the-art medical
facilities to vibrant restaurants and retail spaces. Whether leading ground-up construction or transforming existing structures through strategic remodeling, he approaches each job with precision, creativity, and a deep respect for the client’s vision.

What truly sets Curnie apart is his love for connecting with people. For him, the most
rewarding part of the industry is meeting new clients and helping them bring something
beautiful to life. His ability to blend craftsmanship with collaboration makes him not just a builder, but a trusted partner in every phase of the process.

Patricia Magallanes

Contents Project Manager

My name is Patricia Magallanes, and I’ve been part of the restoration industry since 2006. I hold certifications in Odor Control and Fire & Smoke Restoration (IICRC #70174868), and I specialize in contents restoration—an area I’m truly passionate about.


Helping clients recover from fire damage and other unexpected disasters is the most rewarding part of my work. I take pride in supporting customers through stressful situations with care, compassion, and a calm approach.


Being part of the Encore team has only deepened my commitment to making a positive impact. I’m passionate, motivated, and driven by a desire to help others. My goal is to use every resource available to bring comfort, clarity, and effective solutions to those in need.

Ashley Kelley

Office Manager

Ashley Kelley has been a key member of the Encore RRC team since 2015, serving as the company’s dedicated Office Manager. With nearly a decade of experience supporting operations, Ashley plays a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly and efficiently.


She is responsible for managing company accounts, handling payroll, and overseeing the day-to-day needs of all employees. Known for her attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills, Ashley ensures that both the administrative and operational sides of Encore function seamlessly.


Her commitment to supporting the team and maintaining a positive workplace environment has made her an indispensable part of the Encore RRC family.

April Herrera

Project Coordinator

I have been working in the restoration field since 2013, taking on different roles that have shaped my expertise in fire and smoke restoration, project coordination, and large-scale project management. As a Certified IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Specialist, I am dedicated to ensuring efficient and high-quality restoration services. Over the years, I’ve also expanded my skills into accounting and bookkeeping, earning my Certified QuickBooks Administrator credential and actively working toward my Accounting and Finance associate degree.


At Encore RRC Inc. I play a key role in managing complex projects, ensuring smooth operations, and providing financial oversight to support business success. As a Public Notary. I assist with important documentation processes, helping maintain compliance and accuracy in financial matters. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I thrive in diverse work environments and use my communication skills to bridge gaps between teams and clients.

 

I take pride in my attention to detail and self motivated approach, which allow me to tackle challenges head-on and drive projects to completion with efficiency and precision. Beyond my professional skills, I love working in fast-paced environments where I can make a real difference in helping clients recover and rebuild. I approach my work with a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering the best results possible.
